One of the songs that has affected me the most lately is the song "Today" by Brian Doerkson. It really is a choice everyday to live for God. You have to be deliberate with it. Every action, every choice, everything has to be a conscious decision to choose God over me, holiness over hatred, and servitude and sacrafice.
But that fact that we can make this choice is what gives us freedom!! In our old nature we could never have made this choice - because we are inclined to sin! With Christ's victory we are free to choose what we do and who we become! And choosing Christ means becoming like Him. I think some people think that Christianity takes away people's freedom. But following Christ - that is what gives us freedom! It gives us the liberty to become the best of who we were created to be. Isn't that wonderful!
