I still...(reverse culture shock)

get thrills: when hot water comes out of the showerhead and I don't have to worry about be electrocuted by it.

am excited: when I can drink water from the tap

end up bored: at night because I don't have people over every night like I did in Honduras

wind up giddy: at the thought of going to the library

am mixed up: I still don't speak English properly and I am about to start school

miss: Honduras

Reverse Cultural Shock (r.c.s.)

Over the next few weeks you may be hearing some random posts/venting/i-don't-know-what about my transition back into a developed country. Here are few things I have noticed so far:

- MAN do people waste power. Let's light up entire empty streets at 2am - and for WHAT PURPOSE? and they turned our power off like how many times?
- I have to think about what language to talk in when people are serving me at the counter or at a table
- People can understand me when I am talking to my friends/family in line - meaning - I can't comment about what is going on around me
- I am an average height
- I haven't been told I love you by any man (other than my father or brothers) IN OVER 5 DAYS!!! lol
