End of Year Thoughts....

Here are some thoughts of a first year teacher:

The word "teacher" can be substituted for the following:
- babysitter with a undergraduate degree (dependant on age of students or maturity)
- jester
- mentor
- disciplinarian
- educator
- clown
- confidant
- nurse
- coach
- cheerleader
- counsellor
AND my favorite "one who is publically sanctified" - because if you make mistakes it happens in front of a room full of people. You learn to laugh at yourself, apologize to others, make improvements where necessary, and hopefully grow more godly in the process.

You are an amazingly talented person. I've always had a lot of respect for elementary school teachers because you do so much more than just teach.

Hey Amanda, Ken and Sue were at our church last night. It was nice to hear about you from them (just to me not the whole church :) I hope to be able to see you when you're home again... let me know if you're going to Kim's at all.
