Update on the feet...

Three days ago was the one month anniversary of one-of-the-stupidest-things-Amanda-has-ever-done: 2nd degree burning of her foot (feet) at some hot springs...

The progression:

Week 1: bandages on feet - making shoes impossible to wear. On many pain killers.

Week 2: bandages on top of feet. Shoes still impossible to wear. Amanda does next smart thing: Dropping of glass container on burn - slicing burn open on glass - bleeding from middle of burn blisters.

(Have you ever had it that you are busy doing something and you catch sight of something which you already have seen before but your mind is so distracted that you don't recognize it? This was the week that I had that: I caught sight of my foot while I was brushing me teeth and I was grossed out.)

Week 3: few bandages needed. Finally able to play soccer! Skin still peeling off of feet. But able to walk normally and wear shoes!

Week 4: Smart thing #3 that Amanda does: Sunburns the new baby skin!

I wonder what lesson I am supposed to be learning...
