Some pics

Left: Mayan Ruins dating back over 1200 years. Most of this stuff was discovered by accident. Roofs and jungle had covered it - even now some stuff can't be uncovered because it will wreck from acid rain and too much weight.
(This is the history nerd in me talking: I wish walls and things could talk so that they can tell me the things they have seen and heard PLUS it astounds me that I am walking on the same ground as people who LIVED here so long ago)
Below left: James, me, Maria, Ashley (she came to visit) and Jon, hanging out in Copans Ruinas. Fun times! (Jon is the one who had dengue - as you can see he is much recovered)

Left: Jon, me, Mark, Deb, Katherine (roomate), Dave, Esther, and Noel dressed up for our Victorian Murder Mystery Dinner. I better keep my day job if I am thinking about being a detective.
Okay - that's it for now - but I hope to put on more pics and talk about some struggles of teaching. Sigh. It is getting a little rough - Christmas in the air and much work to be done.
Until the weekend...
