Well, I had the blessing of going home for almost a week from last Tuesday until this past Monday. I first want to say that I am sorry to those who may be offended that I did not see while I was in the same country - it was simply way too busy to try to do everything and see everyone that would have wanted to see. I came back for the sole reason of seeing my good and dear friend Kim Hovestadt wedded to her sweetheart Derek Louwerse. God also gave me some much overdue time with the family and allowed me to pick up some much-needed clothing (and maybe some Dutch candy as well!) CONGRATULATIONS KIM & DEREK!

I also had the pleasure of a hot shower with REAL water pressure! Yeah! I also enjoyed sitting in the hot tub talking with different family members about life... Although I confess it was not relaxing and was quite busy I feel very blessed to have gone back and been refreshed. I am struggling with dealing with the changes in life. People getting married, me living on another country, my siblings getting older.... ARGH! I think I will post on that in depth later this week. Perhaps tomorrow because I am house sitting where the internet is REALLY fast (as you can tell from all the pictures I downloaded.) Anywayz, back in Honduras, back to work. Oh, life.

WHOA! Worlds colliding. I grew up with the Louwerses - Derek and I went to Sunday School together, hahah!
I'm glad you got some time home. I fully appreciate the necessity for recharging, even when the 'recharging' time is busy...
- smoers.
was it a little surreal coming back for a week and then going back to Honduras? I bet it would feel a little strange...2 weeks!
wow amanda, I had no idea you were coming home! I can def. appreciate your mixed feelings on the whole thing...i was there myself after going home this past wknd...i can only imagine how much harder it is when you are that much further...
thinking of you!
Sounds like good recharging time. All set for the next round of Honduras?
Oh, life.
Amanda it was so nice to see you on the weekend. Thank you for playing so beautifully and all your help. (What was the name of the song you played - Gabriels' Oboe?) It meant a lot to Kim that you were there. It was too bad that we didn't get too much time to talk.
I have a great web site for you to look at it is called Solofemininity.blogspot.com I've found it very helpful in dealing with all those changes as well. Love you.
