Although we do not celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving (we wait until American Thanksgiving) I feel that in honor of the motherland I will share some things that I am thankful for:
1) Skype: my family and friends and I are able to have hour long chats at no cost. This never ceases to amaze me - and that on occasion I can even see them sitting infront of me when the webcam is in use.
2) My health: I have been pretty much "sick-free" with just a few hours of stomach upset. Praise the Lord I have not had to be in the hospital with swollen, large feet (like my fellow teacher Noel)
3) My roommate Katherine. I am thankful for her, for how well we get along, and for her Britishness. Maybe I will come back with an accent!
4) For Honduran weather. It is usually arount 25-30C in the daytime which I LOVE. Though I do miss the changing of the leaves that is happening in Canada.
5) For Honduran time, which functions like Van Halteren time. Everything is an hour late and when it does get done it is kinda chaotic.
6) That I get to learn how to speak Spanish.
7) For food: I love food. I miss stuffing. I want some now.
8) For going home in October for a few days to see family and a friend get married.
9) For friends who email me from faraway, or who comment on my blog, or just care in general. Thanks guys.
10) Last but not least: MY FAMILY> I LOVE YOU GUYS!
Of course, all these things are gifts from God to one of His children. I pray that my relationship with Him grows as I learn more about who He is. Thank You God for your gifts!

Hi Amanda,
Can't wait to see you next weekend at the wedding! I didn't get to celebrate Thanksgiving here either - the family did, but I was playing for another wedding. I missed out bigtime!
