Trip Continued....a little of Guatemala

Guatemala really is a beautiful place. We ended up in Flores - a small town very reminisant of towns in Europe - with small streets, colourful houses, and a lot of public space. I would definately go back - plus it is right on a lake (which Honduras only has one) that is clean and refreshing to swim in.

Nearby are also the famous Mayan Ruins of Tikal - which were hidden by the jungle until they were discovered within the last century. Below is a picture of the highest temples sticking out among the jungle. It is one of the most amazing sites I have seen...
